A family member went in with tooth pain and had full X-rays done, but Dr. Marfo still seemed unsure about what was actually causing the problem. At first, he said he was 90% sure it was tooth #30. Then, during the same visit, he changed direction and said it might be another tooth. The diagnosis felt all over the place. He recommended pulling tooth #30, and if that did not solve the pain, then possibly pulling another tooth next. That is extremely concerning when tooth removal is permanent. Thankfully, we got a second opinion before moving forward. The new dentist, and even his assistant, immediately identified the real problem. They could clearly see the issue on the X-ray at the root area of the painful tooth, and it was nowhere near the teeth Dr. Marfo wanted to remove. A root canal was needed, with no extractions required. If we had trusted Dr. Marfo’s recommendation, my family member could have had those teeth pulled unnecessarily, followed by a bone graft, post work, and a lot of additional dental work, cost, and suffering, while the actual problem tooth was left untreated. That would have been a nightmare. Based on this experience, I have no confidence in his judgment, d

My son goes here because his dentist gave him a referral last year and today was this 3rd time going to Dr. Marfo. I must say that Dr. Marfo is great and honestly if it wasn't for his nurse and the only person in particular, Alana, she is AWESOME! I know I said that Dr. Marfo is great but you really have to have that special nurse that you interact well with...that it just makes the office that much better. She SO caring for my son who is disabled and has very bad gag reflex and she just knows what to do and how to make sure that he is very comfortable. As, I'm watching Dr. Marfo and Alana working together with my son just makes me feel like they honestly care about their patients. The reason why I gave this office 4 stars instead of 5 is because the second time my son had to be seen here, there was another nurse that was with him and she really did not know what she was doing. She was lacking in communication with me and did not let me know that my son had to take his antibiotics again. Which really upset me. Anyway, to make my long story short...the staff team are very professional, and caring. The lady at the front desk right when you walk in (I didn't get her name) she wears gl

I saw Dr. Marfo and his team for a complicated root canal. A normal root canal is an hour-and-a-half or less mine was two hours. I went in with extreme anxiety. And the doctor was able set my mind at ease. He used laughing gas, the doctor prescribed pain medication for my tooth., and he numbed me as I am hard to he'd numb. He also has noise canceling headphones and a roku to watch movies. I did not feel a thing no pain. Until the Novocaine wore off and it is very minimal. Doctor Marfo did an amazing job well to his team as well they also make sure there is no infection in the tooth before they start the end of the treatment. I am so proud that Dr. Marfo is my endodontist. I would go back to see him again for another root canal. I trust him and his team!!!!!!! I was having a lot of trouble getting a root canal for the first time. There was a wait due to some medical circumstances but it was worth it! The entire staff was extremely kind and patient with me when I was anxious. Dr Marfo is an amazing kind doctor who did his best to make sure I was comfortable! I got out of there with the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. Worth it 100%!
